About Us
Life Repair Clinic Pllc's approach to counseling is simply this; a belief that either process ought to promote change not only through insight, but also through the changes in the way a person thinks does and lives.
The complexity of our lives in our society today leaves us with a sensation of being overwhelmed, by which we no longer can envision solutions. Therapy is a longer-term process in which many times we need to start at the bottom to get to the top of what we are facing. Many times a childhood will become the focus, with a stronger emphasis on insight into our situations now. As a practitioner, I focus on the immediacy of the client's needs. In other words I meet my clients where they are in life and we work from that beginning point. I feel that what is happening today is as important as yesterday and we can work with today, and better understand our yesterdays and then we can make improved decisions and choices for our tomorrows.
It is my personal belief that speaks to my soul and tells me that if I am going to counsel someone in a certain area that I should at least know something more about that area than what I read in a book or learned in a class room. Which is why I picked the areas I have. My specialty areas reflect my life. It’s just that simple. I am able to recognize the adversity in my clients lives today due to my own personal background and experiences in my life. And, as I move forward I know I am better equipped to help handle the many challenges my clients have and bring. I see my clients such as I look at myself; needing an ear to listen, a guide to direct and the belief in ourselves that we all can overcome any mountain no matter how deep seeded something may be... We Can Overcome! I feel that I am truly blessed and I can look back and say; "I have been given the greatest gift I could have ever received; the gift of 'Deep Experience.' There is always hope and with hope comes a will and with a will comes a want and hopefully that want will bring on a change in our lives!
